Joseph G. Perri President and CEO of Gold Coast Bank Heads Second HIA-LI CEO Roundtable Event

An Established CEO Shares his Success and Discusses How to Focus Your Business in Today’s Tough Economy; Wednesday, March 30, 2011, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

HAUPPAUGE, NY, March 24, 2011 – Joseph G. Perri, President and CEO of Gold Coast Bank, will moderate the second of five CEO Panels presented by HIA-LI, the recognized voice for business on Long Island, on Wednesday, March 30 from 9 am – 11 am. The event will be held in the Ivy Realty Board Room at Gold Coast Bank, 2929 Expressway Drive North in Islandia, NY. More information and registration is available at http://hiali.org/calendarDetails.cfm?eventID=1386

Perri has a long and storied career in the Long Island banking industry and will draw on his experience for the HIA-LI CEO Roundtable, “An Established CEO Shares His Success.” He provides an excellent example of what the HIA-LI Roundtables represents, both because of his background and the unique approach he drives at Gold Coast Bank.

“The goal of our CEO Roundtables is to provide business attendees the opportunity to hear firsthand from those at the helm of their organizations,” said Terri Alessi–Miceli, President of HIA-LI. “Clearly these CEOs are in a position to provide their audiences with direct advice they themselves have used to lead their organizations and industries through obstacles to success.”

“We have built our organization on the demand for exceptional customer service. I believe this is a universal, but often overlooked concept,” said Perri. “I look forward to detailing the approach I’ve cultivated through years of providing customer service to the Long Island business community.”

Perri’s career in banking spans three decades. Before joining Gold Coast Bank as President and CEO in 2009, he held executive positions with The First National Bank of Long Island, where he was a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee and Secretary of The First of Long Island Corporation. There he was in charge of the Bank’s Commercial Banking Department, including commercial customer relationships and commercial new business development. Earlier Perri was a Vice President and Suffolk County Commercial Banking District Head for Marine Midland Bank NA (now HSBC) and he held numerous credit and commercial banking positions. Perri is a frequent contributor on the Fox business show “Bulls and Bears.” He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alfred University, an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University and a degree from the Stonier School of Banking.

The event is the second in a series of five planned HIA-LI CEO Roundtables that will be conducted by some of Long Island’s most accomplished business leaders. Future Roundtables will include ClearVision Optical on April 28th, H2M Group on August 4th, and Campolo, Middleton and McCormick on September 22nd. Reservations or sponsorships can be arranged by calling Alicia Figueras at 631-543-5355 or by visiting www.hia-li.org.
