HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — HIA-LI, one of the recognized voices for business on Long Island,recognized four organizations as recipients of its prestigious HIA-LI 23rd Annual Business Achievement Awards at an event today at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. The business recipients represent a diverse group of outstanding organizations from four different business categories: large business, small business, rookie of the year and not-for-profit. Representatives from each of these organizations received a plaque bearing the HIA-LI logo during a gala luncheon event attended by hundreds of business leaders from across Long Island.
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone delivered opening remarks before the luncheon followed by the awards presentation to each of the award recipients.

The award criteria used by the HIA-LI includes positive employer/employee relations, commitment to the growth of the Long Island business community, and the three- to five-year vision for the company’s future. In addition, the recipients are also chosen based on recent outstanding accomplishments, technical innovation or innovative processes, expansion into new markets, industry leadership and overcoming adversity.
