Teachers Federal Credit Union has been named “best of the best” among large Long Island businesses by the Hauppauge Industrial Association.

The Farmingville-based nonprofit financial institution will receive the honor at the HIA’s 19th annual awards luncheon on Sept. 12 at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

The HIA bestows a series of accolades each year to honor companies in Nassau and Suffollk counties that show passion for their business and customers.

Other winners this year include the Lorraine Gregory Communications Group, a Farmingdale marketing company that took top honors in the HIA’s small business category.

Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, an Old Bethpage facility that offers services to people with developmental disabilities, was named best not-for-profit organization.

Fishbat, a Bohemia-based online marketing firm, is the HIA’s rookie of the year.

And the Smithtown School Industry Advisory Board won the HIA’s industry partnership award.
