Process Support Engineer
Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
The Process Support Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining manufacturing processes within a GMP-compliant facility. This role involves continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficiency, quality, and compliance of manufacturing operations.
Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
• Process Optimization: Continuously review and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality while complying with GMP regulations. Monitor, analyze, and improve production rates.
• GMP Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements, including documentation, validation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams to identify and address deviations, non-conformities, and potential quality issues. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data related to manufacturing processes, identifying trends, and proposing corrective actions or improvements.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and provide input into risk mitigation strategies, including the development of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) documents.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain, to support product development and timely delivery of products to satisfy customer expectations.
• Safety: Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed in the manufacturing facility to protect the health and safety of employees.
• Training: Conduct effective training to associates to ensure production requirements are met.
Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or food processes.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and other relevant industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Six Sigma or Lean certification.
• Experience with process automation and control systems.
Role’s Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
Pay Rate: $90,000- $120,000/yr
